Match Story

For Big Brothers Big Sisters agenciesPiloting fall 2026

A look back at the year for every Big, built from their own check-ins, approved by your staff, and made to be shared.

Bigs tap through their year with their Little and share it with the people who already trust them. Time it for Giving Tuesday, and your Bigs tell your story to their own networks with no fundraising ask attached.

  • 2 to 3 minof staff review per match
  • Zeroyouth names, ever
  • EveryBig can get one
A sample Story. Tap through it.
01

Tap through two of them

Tap the right side to go forward, the left to go back. Every card has its own Share button for Instagram Stories.

A real one. Russ's own school-based match at BBBS of Greater Chattanooga, built from his check-ins.
A sample. A made-up community-based match with outings, a specialist's note, and ideas for next year.
02

One for your agency, and your partners

The same format tells your agency's year in totals: kids served, new matches, hours together, match length, and your Big & Little of the Year. A partner version celebrates the Bigs who came from one employer or school. Totals only, never an individual match.

Your agency's year. Post it on Giving Tuesday, put it in a board packet, or open your annual event with it.
A partner's year. A thank-you a corporate or school partner can share with their own people, with a recruiting ask at the end.

What a Big sees

Days matched

Counted to the day.

Visits and hours

From their check-ins, shown only when the count is worth celebrating.

Their spot

Where and when they meet, and the games they play.

In their own words

How their Little opened up, quoted word for word from the Big.

A moment and a memory

The scenes the Big told their specialist about.

Ideas for next year

Fitted to the program, so a school-based match never gets an outing.

A note from staff

An optional personal line from their match support specialist.

Share and recruit

A story image for every card, and an invite to become a Big.

How it runs

  1. 1

    Drafts build themselves

We read your MatchForce check-ins and draft a Story for every eligible active Big. Your team runs nothing.

  2. 2

    Specialists review their own Bigs

Each specialist gets a private link to just their caseload. Approve, hold, edit a card, add a note, or send the short version for a quieter year. About 2 to 3 minutes a match.

  3. 3

    Managers see where it stands

A read-only overview shows every specialist's progress and every match's status. Monday reminders nudge whoever is behind.

  4. 4

    Send day

On the date you pick, every approved Big gets an email with their own private link, under your agency's name.

  5. 5

    Bigs share it

Their friends and coworkers see what being a Big looks like, and the last card invites them to become one.

05

What it never shows

  • The Little's name, school, family or photo.
  • Anything about safety, behavior, missed visits, or what a Little told staff privately.
  • Words the Big didn't say. Every quote is checked against the note it came from, and staff can remove a quote but never reword it.
  • Anything your staff held. Nothing reaches a Big without approval.
06

What it takes

  • Your MatchForce check-in notes and read-only access. Nothing is written back.
  • No Zapier account required.
  • A send date, and a few weeks for your specialists to review.
  • Every Big can get one. A quiet year gets a shorter Story, not a sad one.
